According
to a recent issue of Government Executive
magazine,
Halliburton Company went from the Federal
Government's
35th biggest contractor to 11th.
In
an analysis of the Top 200 contractors, it
was
noted
that Vice President Cheney's former company
received
$689 million the year previous, but this past
year
won 3.1 billion.
The
top 3 contractors are all Defense
contractors:
Lockheed Martin Corp. for 26
billion,
Boeing at 20 billion, and Northrop Grumman
Corp.
at 12 billion.
The
Carlyle Group with ties to wealthy Saudis,
the
Bush
Family, and former CIA official Frank Carlucci,
won
$1.9 billion of government funds this year.
